DL-Tartaric Acid is a white crystalline organic acid. It occurs naturally in many plants, particularly grapes, bananas, and tamarinds, and is one of the main acids found in wine. As antioxidant added to food, it can make the food have sour flavor. DL-Tartaric Acid also can be used as the raw material of succinic acid. L.
