Foodchem Makes a Splash at China (Beijing)-Saudi Arabia Agricultural Industry Forum, Unveiling a New Chapter in Sino-Saudi Agricultural Cooperation

Beijing, May 13, 2024 — Foodchem International Corporation (“Foodchem”), a global leader in food and animal nutrition ingredient solutions, attended the China (Beijing)-Saudi Arabia Agricultural Industry and Sustainable Development Forum as a key strategic partner in Saudi Arabia’s food and animal nutrition sectors. The forum brought together over 600 government and business representatives from both nations, with signed cooperation agreements totaling over $4 billion. Foodchem’s active participation underscored its pivotal role in advancing innovation and collaboration within the Sino-Saudi agricultural and food supply chains.
High-Level Dialogue: Charting a Blueprint for Sustainable Development

During the forum, Foodchem representatives engaged in in-depth discussions with Saudi Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture Abdulrahman Al-Fadley, Beijing Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Secretary Zhang Jianwei, and other leaders on sustainable pathways for the agriculture and food industries. Aligning with the forum’s “technology-scenario-capital-policy” integrated cooperation framework, Foodchem emphasized leveraging its global expertise in functional food ingredients, animal nutrition additives, and green production technologies to collaborate with Saudi partners in building smart agriculture ecosystems, low-carbon food processing systems, and innovative cross-border supply chains.
Mr. Andy CHEN, CEO of Foodchem, stated during the roundtable dialogue:
“As a core hub of the Belt and Road Initiative, Saudi Arabia’s demand for agricultural and food industry modernization complements China’s technological and market strengths. With years of experience in the Saudi market, Foodchem will accelerate technology sharing and industrial integration. By deploying precision nutrition solutions to enhance animal health and developing climate-resilient food processing technologies tailored to the Middle East, we aim to support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals of food security and industrial diversification.”Strategic Agreements: Expanding Full-Industry Chain Synergies

As a key outcome of the forum, Foodchem reached multiple cooperation intentions with leading Saudi enterprises and institutions, focusing on three pillars: high-value-added food ingredient supply, animal nutrition technology collaboration, and agricultural resource circular utilization. These initiatives will not only strengthen Foodchem’s localized service network in the Middle East but also set a benchmark for Chinese food tech companies entering Saudi and Gulf markets.
Future Vision: Technology-Driven Empowerment of the Global Food Ecosystem
Upholding its core strategy of integrating technology, industry, and trade, Foodchem’s innovations—including functional proteins, hydrocolloid food ingredients, and efficient animal nutrition solutions—are already widely adopted in Saudi dairy, livestock, and health food industries. During the forum, Foodchem announced plans to collaborate with Saudi partners in establishing the “China-Saudi Food Innovation Center” within the Red Sea Economic Zone. This initiative will focus on desert agriculture technologies, plant-based protein development, and intelligent nutrition solutions, positioning it as a flagship project for green industrial cooperation.
The Beijing CCPIT commended Foodchem’s contributions, noting that its technological prowess and global presence will inject fresh momentum into high-quality Sino-Saudi agricultural and food sector development. Moving forward, both sides will further integrate Saudi specialty agricultural resources with China’s e-commerce and supply chain platforms to boost trade and technical cooperation in functional ingredients such as dates and dairy products.
